2023 Guber: ADC Governorship Candidate steps down for A A Sule

The reelection bid of governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state received a boost yesterday as the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress  ( ADC) in the state,  Godwin Alaku has stepped down for the incumbent governor ahead of the March 18th, governorship election.


Alaku announced his decission at a press conference in Lafia yesterday, said he decided to jettison his governorhip ambition and to support governor Sule based on the achievement of the governor in the past years.


He explained further that the party in the state  decided to move the political trajectory of Nasarawa state forward, both in terms of democratic dividends as well as developments in all area of needs in the state, hence its support for Governor Sule in the Saturday’s Governorship election.


” We have come to the realistic conclusions that the incumbent Governor, Engr AA Sule have done well since coming into office as the Governor of the state from 2019″


“In view of that, I, Hon  Godwin Williams Alaku have decided to step down as the Gubernatorial candidate of the ADC party in Nasarawa state and do hereby plead with all our teeming members of the ADC to come out in mass to vote for Engr AA. Sule. of the APC, come this Saturday”


“Nasarawa state have been tested in terms of Security, Economy and  transparency in governance, in all of this, Engr. AA Sule has done tremendously well and therefore should be allowed to be in office for the second term. This will allow the Governor to build on the solid foundation already laid in the last 3 years,” he said.


The African Democratic Congress ADC governorhip candidate, therefore called on the people  of the state not to  allow  religion and ethnicity destroy the peace the state was currently enjoying calling on them to vote for the governor Sule in 18th March governorhip election.
