The National body of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has accepted the resignation of the chairman, Abuja council of the uñion, Mr. Paul Abechi Ella
In a letter signed by the National Secretary of the Union, Leman Shuaibu, dated 8 october2018, the Union advised the vice chairman of the council, Primus Kanoba to take over the affairs of the council until elections are conducted in a couple of weeks.
Recall that the tenure of the outgoing EXCO headed by Ella expired two months ago and members were awaiting the conduct of the election of new national officers which was conducted last week and saw the emergence of Chris Isiguzo as the new national President of the NUJ before the conduct of an election.
