Agbabaku is Edo State House of Assembly New Speaker
*just as Maria Edeko emerges Deputy Speaker

The member representing Owan West in the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku has emerged the new Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly.
Meanwhile, Maria Edeko also of the PDP representing Esan North East Consrituency11 in the House was elected the Deputy Speaker.
Agbebaku, whose election as the winner of the just concluded Assembly elections under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was described by the House of represntatives member representing Owan Federal Constituency, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere as a sham, succeeds Hon. Marcus Onobun who has proceeded to the House of Representatives.
Agbebabku, a seasoned politician and the entire House is expected to anchor the Obasekis administration to a successful end of his administration come 2014 when the state is expected to elected a new governor.
