Former Minister of Works and Edo Central Senatorial Hopeful, Dr Mike Onolememen CON, the Adolor of Uromi facilitates with the Christians and Catholic faithful across the country and Edo State in particular on the occasion of Good Friday urging them to reflect on the importance of His death which is the remission of our sins.
Onolememen on the auspicious occasion of Good Friday which precedes the Easter day celebration for Christians, shed light on the relevance of Good Friday to every christian
“Good Friday is of immense importance to the believers of Christianity. It is the last Friday before Easter Sunday, or the day when Jesus Christ was crucified. It is a day marked with penance, sadness, sober reflections and sacrifice.”He said.
The Adolor of Uromi, in a press release made available to PenPushers, reminded Christians on the need to be conscious of God’s unconditional love for them and that they were of great value in God’s hand.
“Good Friday is very important and divine because it reminds us that we matter to the great Lord,” “Jesus Christ bore all in silence because he accepted us in Him. I hope we can return the same to him in a way that is acceptable. John 3:16 says, ‘God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.’ – He was hung, he bled and died proving his love for us. Nothing can beat his sacrifice for humankind. I hope we can hold the faith he deserves. And Mark 9:31 reads, ‘For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.”
