The former speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has donated relief materials and cash to victims of the recent communal crisis in Katapha, Shege and other villages in Toto local government Area of the state.
The items included 100 bundles of zinc and other essential materials as well as bags of 50 kg of rice, semolina, cartons of spaghetti, gallons of oils, Maggi among other food stuffs were presented by polical Adviser to the former speaker, Alhaji Usman Mohammed, onbehalf of the former speaker at Umaisha, yesterday.
Others donated include, Rams, Cows, over 100 bags of rice and other items worth millions of naira to the people of his constituency to enable them celebrate sallah at ease.
Speaking when presenting the items at Umaisha, Political Adviser to the former speaker, Alhaji Usman Mohammed said that the relief materials were donated by the former speaker to support the victims of the recent communal crisis in the area to start a new life and settled down by rebuilding their homes especially now that the farming session had set in.
He said that the former speaker Balarabe Abdullahi had also presented the sallah packages as his usual tradition to enable his people celebrate the upcoming sallah festival with joy considering the present economic reality in the country.
The political adviser therefore, called on the people in the areas to remain peaceful and united irrespective of their affiliations and continued to pray and support the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
Speakers at the presentation of the materials, Village Head of Shege Alh. Usman Idoko, Hon. Muhammed Sani Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Hon. Iliyasu Miryam the Overseer of Umaisha Development Area, APC Chairman of Toto LG and the Woman Leader among others lauded the Former Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi for having his people at heart and addressing their plights even after living office praying God to reward the former speaker abundantly.
