Governor (Senator) Okpebholo of Edo state is set to work On Mechanic And Peanut Roads in Benin City the state capital.
This according to a release made available to penpushers online media and signed by Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the governor ,Patrick Ebojele is to ease the gridlock often experienced on the Sapele road axis in the city.
This is also as the governor is to declare ‘Three Days Of Thanksgiving’ for the state.
Gov Okpebholo said his administration is doing all its best to make life better and bearable for Edo people, adding that his administration will continue to ensure that Edo people enjoy the dividends of democracy under his watch.
He noted that officials of the Ministry of works will evaluate the road and commence work to ensure Edo people enjoy good and motorable roads across the State.
Gov Okpebholo also said his administration is working hard to ensure that Edo State is safe and conducive for citizens and none citizens alike as cultism has been fought to a standstill.
“Today we are no longer afraid of cultism in the State as our administration is working hard to put an end to cultism in the state. God is using me to change the story of Edo state”.
He thanked Pastor Charles Osazuwa for his prayers as his prophecy came to pass as he won the governorship election to become governor of Edo state.
“I thank the man of God, anytime I step here, I see the spirit of God and the demonstration of his power. I came here to tell you about my ambition to contest for the Governorship seat, he said I should go ahead that I will win the election.
“Nobody believed I would win the election, but I won and the State is benefiting from my leadership as I am developing the State to the benefits of Edo people”
Responding to the request of Pastor Charles Osazuwa on declaring a day of thanksgiving for the State, gov Okpebholo said Edo state is a Christian State and God has been faithful to the State, noting that his request has been granted.
“Edo State is a Christian State and what you have requested is granted but instead of one day, we will declare a three day thanksgiving and praise event for Jesus Christ.
“You voted for me because you want Edo state to be developed. Peanut and mechanic road to the by-pass will be constructed. Consider the road done”.
Delivering his sermon titled “The Force Of Expectation” Pastor Charles Osazuwa said citizens should trust God Almighty and believe in Nigeria to come out from the challenges and problems facing the nation.
Pastor Osazuwa appealed to Governor Okpebholo to fix the mechanic and peanut road which is a strategic road to decongest traffic gridlock in Sapele road.
He also called on the governor to fix a day for Edo State to thank God and ensure the day is maintained and continued by other administrations after him.
The governor also worshipped at Winners Chapter Church on Sapele road.
