Insurance of Benin return with a bang, Hammer Akwa United 2:0

BendelInsurance of Benin started their return to the Nigeria premiership by putting up a scincilating performance as they defeated Akwa United 2-0.

The Benin Arsenal as the Insurance are popularly called dominated the game and were rewarded for their supreme attacking play.

Imade Osehenkhoe gave the away side the lead on 37th minute following a superb pass from Divine Nwachukwu.

Ismail Sarki put the game beyond the home team in 41st minute.

It was the first time Insurance have scored two goals in an NPFL game since they lost 3-2 to Zamfara United in October 2007.

The remaining matchday one fixtures will be played next weekend.
