The gumen who abducted chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Nasarawa state chapter, Bishop Joseph Masin, have demanded N20m ransome.
The kidnappers eportedly forced themselves Bishop Masin’s residence at Bukan Sidi in Lafia, the state capital at about 11 pm yesterday and took him away.
Family sources said the gunmen rode to the compound on motorcycles and forced themselves into the compound and took him away.
Confirming the development in telephone interview, vice chaiman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the state, Pastor Tayo Samuel, said that the kidnappers had made contact with one of the bishop Masin’s sons and demanded for N20m.
” The kidnappers have contacted one of his sons on telephone and demanded for N20million negotion is ongoing”
Commissioner of police in Nasarawa state, Bola Longe, confirmed the incident, saying police are on the trail of the kidnappers ensuring that the abductee iwould be rescued unhurt.
