In February 2010, Mr Gumi was arrested by the Saudi Arabian government for having a link, and an email conversation with the underwear bomber, Umar Faruk Abdulmutallab. It took the intervention of the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration to free him after spending about six months in the Saudi’s prison. It was the American government that informed the Saudi Arabian government about Mr Gumi ‘s fraternizing with terrorists like Umar. You can now understand why he hates the Americans so badly!
Since his arrest in 2010, Mr Gumi has never stepped foot in Saudi Arabia until 2025; he was deported immediately he arrived Saudi Arabia. This year May 24th, 2026, he was deported again because the Saudi government unlike Nigerian government don’t forget easily. They are too serious and never careless not to remember Mr Gumi. As soon as he landed on the Saudi’s airport, he was sent back like a rejected sacrifice back to Nigeria.
