Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said that the federal government has plan to put Nasarawa State the world tourism map.
To, this end, he said the federal government woild engage development partners to invest in Farin Ruwa water falls in Wamba local government Area in Nasarawa State to harness God given tourism potentials at the water falls.
He spoke while on a visit to Farin Ruwa water falls in Wamba local government Area of Nasarawa state, weekend..
The minister said that the means to develop the Farin Ruwa water falls was to constust the road leading to the falls to pay way for development of infrastructure to attract tourists.
Lai said: ” As I always say one of the keys to open tourism potentials in the country or part of the world is to infrastructure I urge federal and state legislators to work towards give the legal backing for the constitution the road leading to the water falls and also make it part of their constituency project”
” What we have seen here is quite enthrowlling. It is not something you see in many part obtue world. I think it is important to us to invest in infrastructure so that this wonders of the world would be make available to everyone”
” Goverernment can’t do it alone I want to take the opportunity to to invite the private sector to invest in building the infrastructure that will lead to this place. It might be very heavy infrastructure at the beginning but at the end of the day such infrastructure will be positive” said Lai Mohammed.
Nasarawa State deputy governor, Emmanuel Akabe who led the minister and his team to the Farin Ruwa water falls, applauded the minister for the visit.
