EILU DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION CONGRATULATES PROF. MRS E.E.Omonzejie, VICE CHANCELLOR, AAUE

We, the entire Eilu Kingdom, under the esteemed auspices of the Eilu Development Association (EDA), the umbrella body for all Eilu groups and associations, wish to formally announce to the public a historic and joyous visit of solidarity undertaken by our people.

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, a high-powered delegation of the Eilu Kingdom paid a congratulatory visit to our illustrious daughter, Prof. Mrs. E.E. Omonzejie, who is not only the President of the Eilu Development Association, but was also recently appointed as the Substantive Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma (AAUE), by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo..

The delegation was ably led by Pst. E.E. Iriogbe, Vice President, Eilu Development Association. In his remarks, he appreciated God for the opportunity granted our daughter to serve in such an exalted position and also extended the Association’s appreciation to the Executive Governor of Edo State, for finding our daughter worthy of such an enviable appointment.

The team was a true reflection of the unity and collective pride of Eilu Kingdom, comprising carefully selected representatives from the seven communities that make up Eilu, dedicated staff of AAUE of Eilu origin, the Chairman EDA Ekpoma branch and his team, the Vice President, Eilu Esan Progressive Union Warri and his team, the President, Eilu Progress Foundation and his team, and the President, Eguare Eilu Youth Movement.

The visit was a profound display of communal love and support for Prof. Omonzejie. In a deeply symbolic and heartfelt ceremony, the Odiowele of Ewu Kingdom, Pa Ojegben Eseigbe, who was ably represented by Pa Bello, presented the traditional kola nut and offered prayers to the Almighty God and our ancestors for the success, wisdom, and divine guidance of our daughter in her new and noble role as Vice-Chancellor.

This gesture underscores our unwavering belief in her capability and our collective commitment to stand by her throughout her tenure. We are immensely proud of her achievement, which is a beacon of inspiration to the youth of Eilu and a testament to the value we place on education and excellence.

In her response, the highly elated Vice Chancellor, Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Prof. Mrs, Omonzejie, appreciated God for such a day in her life. She recounted the dark days when she was sacked in March 2023, and appreciated Eilu Kingdom for their prayers that sustained her during the period and also her subsequent recall and appointment as Vice Chancellor. He thanked the Executive Governor of Edo State, for finding her worthy to occupy such a position. She appealed to all Eilu sons and daughters to continue in their prayers for her as she strives to improve the fortunes of the University.

The Eilu Development Association, and indeed the entire Ewu Kingdom, wholeheartedly congratulates Prof. Mrs. E.E. Omonzejie once again. We are confident that her leadership will usher in a new era of progress and academic distinction for Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
