Immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, has congratulated the former minister of Niger Delta, Engineer Abubakar Momoh, on his redesignation as minister of regional development.
Agba, in a statement on Thursday, said that the retention of Momoh in the cabinet was a measure of the confidence reposed in him by President Bola Tinubu.
He also noted that, while some ministers were relieved of their jobs, Momoh was not only retained but also had his scope of responsibility expanded by the President through the creation of regional development ministry-comprising Niger Delta Development Commission, Southeast Development Commission, Northeast development Commission, and Northwest Development Commission, which he (Momoh) now supervises.
Agba expressed confidence in Momoh’s capabilities as an engineer and former member of the House of Representatives to take on the greater responsibility of superintending Nigeria’s regional development agenda as envisioned by the President Bola Tinubu administration.
