Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, who served as the first minister of the FCT under the Murtala Muhammed military regime, has died
The business mogul was reported to have died at 96, and his death was confirmed on behalf of the family by Oluremi Ajose-Adeogun
Ajose Adeogun was the one that reportedly designed the master plan of Abuja when he was in office as the first minister of the FCT
According to The Punch, the business mogul died on Saturday, July 1, at 96.

“The family of Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun has announced the passing away to the eternal glory of their patriarch, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, FCIS, CON, JP.”
According to the statement, the late elder statesman was appointed by the military government of General Murtala Mohammed. He was the brain behind Abuja’s Master Plan when he was in office as the FCT Minister.
Before he was appointed minister of the FCT, Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun earlier served as a two-term federal commissioner for Cooperatives anChief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun attended the CMS Grammar School in Lagos between 1940 and 1946 before he moved to the School of Oriental and African Studies at London University.
He also attended the University College London, where he obtained the Cambridge School Certificate with exemption from London Matriculation; Inter LL.B. (London).
