In demonstration of responsive and people-oriented leadership, the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has mobilized contractors for the long-awaited reconstruction of Ologua Road in Ohordua Ward 4, Esan South East Local Government Area.
The Ologua Road, which has remained in a deplorable condition for several years, had effectively cut off the Ologua community from neighboring Ohordua. The situation worsened during the rainy season, when vehicular movement became impossible, forcing many residents to abandon their homes and properties due to prolonged isolation and economic hardship.
This bold intervention by Governor Okpebholo brings renewed hope to the people of Ologua, as the road is expected to assume a new and durable outlook within the coming weeks. The project underscores the Governor’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development, rural integration, and equitable distribution of infrastructural projects across Edo State.
Expressing deep appreciation, residents of the Ologua community commended Governor Okpebholo for remembering them after years of neglect by successive administrations. They described the project as a clear testament to purposeful governance and have pledged their unflinching support and massive votes for the Governor in coming elections in appreciation of his developmental strides.
The Chairman of Esan South East Local Government Area, Hon. Moses Edoh, personally led the contractors on an inspection tour of the road, reaffirming the strong collaboration between the state and local governments in delivering dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
“Indeed, where previous administrations failed, Governor Monday Okpebholo has taken decisive action, once again proving that his administration is firmly committed to transforming Edo State through strategic infrastructure development and people-centered governance” He said.
