Governor of Nasarawa state, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule has urged Muslims to sustain the lessons of love, unity, sacrifice, patience and peaceful coexistence learnt during the Ramadan as they celebrate this year’s Eid El Fitr.
He gave the admonition on Sunday when fielding questions from newsmen shortly after taking part in the Eid prayer held at his country home in Gudi, Akwanga local government Area of the state.
” I call on you to sustain the 30 days of faith 30 days of sacrifice 30 days committment and 30 days of love and 30 days of love and unity and above I call on you to continue to live in peace with one another
” I call on you to continue to maintain a peaceful relationship and show love and be patient with your neighbors during this period of coronavorus pandemic”
The governor said that that government has put some restriction to ensure every bperson in the state of was protected from infection of coronavirus pandemic.
Alhaji Sule said that some of the meaures taken by government were not intended to bring about hardship to the people of the state but to protect them irrespective of their religious and ethnic affiliation.
He lauded the of the state for cooperating with his administration and urged them to sustain the tempo, just as he urged the people of the state to rally round President Muhammadu’s government to deliver on his mandate
The governor said that his administration would complete all projects started by the previous administration to avoid waste of resources already expended on them fr the benefit of the state.
“We are not going to turn our eyes away or shy away from those products because resources have already been expended on them the easiest thing to do is to abandone them and start our our projects but I come from a background that I do not entertain waste so we will complete all the projects”
