Ms. Grace Ike, Chairman of the FCT Council of the Nigeria Union of journalists, NUJ has attributed the success recorded at the May Day Celebration that held at the Eagle Square in Abuja penultimate, Thursday May 1st.
The hardworking chairman thanked members for the massive turn out recorded and support she has been receiving since assuming office.

“Your presence and solidarity were instrumental in making this year’s May Day event a resounding success.
“Under our leadership, we proudly displayed our priority messages advocating for greater press freedom and better working conditions for journalists during these challenging economic times.
“Your commitment to “Reclaiming the Civic Space in the Midst of Economic Hardship” truly embodied this year’s theme. Your dedication to defending press freedom, pushing back against censorship, and fighting for fair treatment at work demonstrates the resilience that defines our profession.
As journalists continue to face rising costs of living, job insecurity, and limited opportunities, your unified voice becomes even more crucial.
“Thank you for standing together as we continue to speak truth to power, hold leaders accountable, and protect the voices of the vulnerable.
“Your participation reinforces our collective strength and shared vision for a better future for journalism in Nigeria.
Together, we will continue to make the NUJ FCT Council “a shining example of excellence, setting benchmarks for others to emulate.” She said in her good will message.
