In setting aside the sum of US$11 Billion awarded against Nigeria, the English Court took into consideration, the pervasive corrupt practices of P & ID and their Nigerian confederates.

The Court then proceeded to list the unscrupulous Nigerians who connived with foreigners to bankrupt their own country to wit:

*1. Broderick Bozimo*: The former minister of Police affairs. This man and his family raped the Nigerian Police to coma through award of phoney contracts to P& ID, from which they earn kickbacks to fund their luxurious lifestyle.

*2. Dr B.K Kaigama*: Former Federal Permanent Secretary: His name features permanently in every conversation surrounding graft. He did not disappoint this time.

*3. Ambassador Dauda Danladi*: former administrator, Defence Ministry. This man just sat down and practically shared Nigerians’ defence budget between his family and P & ID directors.

*4. Mrs Grace Taiga*: Former Legal Director, Department of Petroleum Resources: This woman received series of bribes in Dollars from P & ID to influence the award of the vexed Gas Supply and Processing Agreement.

She drafted the agreement in terms favourable to P& ID, cajoled the Supervising Minister to sign same and continued to receive bribe from the company throughout the arbitration proceedings.

*5. Adetunji Adebayo*: The most unpatriotic Nigerian since independence!
He leaked series of state secrets and privileged Legal communications from Nigeria to P& ID. This gave the rogue company leverage at every point in the entire saga.

*6. Justice Alfa Belgore*: Former Chief Justice of Nigeria: He wrote the “expert opinion” for P & ID” for a fee which put Nigeria in all sorts of troubles. The Arbitral body relied heavily on same to award the sum of 6.6 Billion dollars as damages against Nigeria for the gas scam.

Funny enough, Prof. Itse Sagay was contacted to write an “expert opinion” to counter Belgore. But the man forgot everything he wrote in his “Law of Contract” and unofficially concured with Belgore.

On the Positive:

Olasupo Shasore, SAN received praises from the Court for his diligence and professional conduct in representing Nigeria.

This has effectively falsified the charges brought against him by EFCC on the allegation that he compromised the arbitration hearings in favour of P & ID.
