NasarawaStates lifts Ban on Worship Centers.

Nasarawa state government has approved the lifting of ban on worship centers in the state for two weeks.

The government also lifted ban on commercial tricycles to operate within the two weeks duration with permission to carry only two perssengers at a time.

Theses resolutions were reached at a joint council meeting presided over by Governor Abdullahi Sule held at the government House in Lafia, the state capital, Monday.

Briefing newsmen after the meeting, commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dogo Shammah, said religious leaders must ensure use of facemasks, social distancing and washing of hands with soap and water by worshipers during the two weeks.

He said that government would monitor compliance of safety gears at worship centers during the two week warning that religious leaders would be held accountable in the event worshipers violates precautinary orders.

The commissioner commended religious leaders in the state for their understanding during the ban on congregational assemblage, assuring that government was committed to prevening the spread of the disease in the state.
