Nasarwa gov sacks SSG for alleged fraud.

Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule, has sacked the Secretary to the state Government (SSG) for alleged fraud.

The Nasarwa state House of Assembly had recommended for the sack of the SSG following his indictment of over N200m by a report of an ad-hoc committee set up by the house to investigate him over the renovation of school projects in 2018, when was commissioner of Education in the state.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Government  state House, Hamza Abubakar Gayam, and made available to journalists Monday in Lafia, the state capital, asked the former SSG, Aliyu Ahmed to hand over government property in his possession to the permanent secretary, Cabinet Affairs at the Office of the SSG.

The statement read in parts ” His Excellency the governor of Nasarwa state, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has approved the relief of the appointment of Alhaji Aliyu Ahmed as the Secretary to The State Government of Nasarwa State with immediate effect from today, Monday 8th of June, 2020

Accordingly, he is to hand over all government property in his possession to the permanent secretary Cabinet Affairs and Special Services in the office of the Secretary of the state Government immediately

His Excellency thanks the former SSG for his service and support to the administration and wish him the best in future endeavors “
