Presidential Aide: FG has not remitted money into Excess crude account since 2016

Tolu Ogunlesi a presidential aide and the handler of the Muhammadu Buhari social media handles said in a tweet yesterday that the FG has no been remitting money into the Excess Crude Account since 2016

A quick look through the budget benchmarks from 2016 till date reveals thus ;👇

2016 budget benchmark -$38.
2016 average oil price -$43.58.

2017 budget benchmark -$44.5
2017 average oil price – $50.84.

2018 budget benchmark -$51
2018 average oil price – $64.90.

Now here’s the question that I have for the APC led government

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE EXCESS ?

WHY HAS THE GOVERNMENT NOT BEEN REMITTING MONEY INTO THE ECA ?

WHAT HAVE THEY BEEN DOING WITH THE EXCESS THEY FAILED TO REMIT?
