Tinubu commends Gov Sule for promotion of business and investment friendly environment in Nasarawa

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has lauded governor, Abdullahi Sule of Naasarawa state for creating a business friendly environment that is attracting huge investment in that state.

He gave the commendation in a speech when he declared open the Nasarawa Investment Summit held at the banquet hall, Government House in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital, Wednesday.

Represented by minister of Industry,  Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka Anita, president Tinubu lauded Governor Sule for the establishment of the largest Lithium processing plant in the country, saying Nigeria was proud of his achievement.

President Tinubu urged other states to emulate Nasarawa ‘s example by intensifying efforts to attract investment. Initiatives like the investment summit which he said was pivotal in showcasing the vast opportunities awaiting investors across all sectors of the Nigerian economy.

He said that Nigeria was truly proud of Nasarawa state particularly for the strides it has taken within the mining sector, stating that the state has shown great vision in ensuring that their vast lithium deposits are developed and processed in ensuring that raw materials are not exported out of this country without any value addition.

The president said that lithium is the future and its future is very electrifying .

Manufacturers continue to produce cars powered by lithium batteries rather than fossil fuels. Therefore, we as a country must prepare for this by ensuring that we take full advantage of the global demand. He stated that the federal government would develop more processing plants in Nasarawa and across other states that are rich in lithium by sustainably developing our lithium deposits.

He announced that the federal government would continue to put measures in place to support the sustainable development of the mining sector to catalyse local and foreign investors .

” Our government is business friendly evident by Mr President’s unwavering support for initiatives like the ongoing federal government loans advanced scheme specifically tailored to support micro – small and medium term enterprise, the president said.

In his speech, the Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule expressed commitment of his administration to continued to explore business and investment partnerships access business endeavour.

He said the first edition of the summit held in 2022 had witnessed influx of investors into the state and are currently harnessing God-give endowment in the state.

According to him, the recently commissioned Avatar new energy materials company by president Ahmed Bola Tinubu, ASGARD mining and processing plant in Karu and the Nasarawa Technology village project in Karu and many other investment being carried out in the state is the fallout of the first investment summit held in 2022.

The governor said that his administration would continue to create an enabling atmosphere for investors to come and invest in the state.

Sule said administration would continue to stimulate the economy, build human capacities, creating wealth and generate employment for socio economic development of the state.

He lauded president Tinubu for his sustained effort in driving the nation’s economy to prosperity pledging his continued loyalty and support to his administration.
