Edo state Faction of ADC suspends two ex-govs, others
* accuses of anti-party activities.

Two former executive governors of Edo state, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and Prof.Oserheime Osunbor have been suspended by a faction of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the State.
The faction led by Kennedy Odion said it acted on Article 15(A), (B), (C)(1), (2), and (3) and Article 9(iv) of the party’s constitution to issue the directive.
Other Edo ADC leaders also suspended include, Senator Yisa Braimah, Senator Ehigie Uzamare, Hon. Nosa Ehima, Hon. Sylvester Ewanehi, Tony Alile, Jafaru Sumaila, Stella Alli, Igieogbe Asemota, and Christopher Ojeikere.
According to Odion, in a statement made available to penpushers online media said that the suspended members allegedly engaged in insubordination, including refusing to comply with lawful Party directives, and anti-party activities, such as conduct inconsistent with Party objectives and directives.
Odion said Oyegun and others’ actions could cause disaffection, disorder, or disruption within the Party structure.
According to him, “All affected members are barred from participating in party meetings, activities, and decision-making processes.
“They shall not represent the party in any official or unofficial capacity, and they shall cease to hold themselves out as officers or agents of the party.
He said all affected members retained the right to appeal in accordance with Article 15(D).
According to Odion, the directive was with immediate effect.
However, Mr. Alile, who the Oyegun-led faction elected as Chairman, said the National Working Committee of the party has already expelled Odion from the party.
He accused Odion of playing to the gallery. Alile said Odion was being sponsored by external forces.
