Emmanuel Ehimare Iriogbe Succeeds AAU VC, Prof. Omonzeije as Ewu Devt. Association President

The National body of Ewu Development Association (EDA), Sunday April 5 held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) where new officers were elected to pilot the affairs of the apex body that over see the affairs of Ewu kingdom in Edo state.
According to a release made available to penpushers online media and signed by the group’s Public Relations Officer,PRO, Dcn. Lawrence Isiraojie, Pastor Emmanuel Ehimare Iriogbe emerged as the new National President.
The event held at the Eguare-Ewu Town Hall, under the chairmanship of the traditional ruler of the kingdom, His Royal Highness, Abdulrazaq Ojeifo, saw the emergence of other officers; Engr. Steve Idiata, vice president, Batholomew Okoug bosu, General Secretary.
Others included, ASST. GEN SEC: Prince Tijani Ojeifoh, Treasurer; Clement Inegbe, Mr. Augustine Oboh as Financial Secretary, Lawrence Isiraojie PRO. WHILE Mrs. Efe Ehikhuemen emerged the legal adviser and Prof. Mrs. Eunice Omonzejie as EX OFFICIO officer.
Recall, that Prof. Omonzeije, who is the current vice chancellor of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma is the immediate past president of the Association.
In her speech, Prof Omonzeije described the occasion as a historic transition of leadership and warmly welcomed members to the gathering.
She expressed deep appreciation to the outgoing National Executive Committee (NEC) for their steadfast support and cooperation throughout her tenure. Prof. Omonzejie recounted her administration’s deliberate efforts in navigating challenges that faced the association, offering key advice to the incoming NEC to remain steadfast and focused in piloting the affairs of the association.
Following the presentation of the financial report by the National Treasurer, the electoral process commenced. The election, was supervised by Dr. T.A.E. Ikhuoriah (Chairman, EDA Ekpoma Chapter), was conducted peacefully.
The newly elected members were immediately sworn into office.
In his acceptance remarks, Pastor, Iriogbe , Ehimare Emmanuel , thanked God for the opportunity to lead at this pivotal time in Ewu’s history. He lauded the immediate past President for her dutiful contributions and leadership style, which brought the association to the positive limelight. Pastor Iriogbe made a solemn pledge to work tirelessly towards uniting the entire Ewu community for peaceful coexistence, growth, and development.
The high point of the ceremony was the formal presentation of the new NEC members to HRH, the Onojie of Ewu Kingdom, Barr. Abdul-Rasaq Isesele Ojeifo III. The royal father offered prayers for the successful election of the new executive committee.
