Nasarawa State Records 11 New Cases of Coronavirus

The Nasarawa state government yesterday announced 11 new cases of coronavirus in the state.

The state’s deputy governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe disclosed this at a news briefing yesterday in Lafia, the state capital said 180 result of 180 samples taken for test were being awaited.

He explained that the local government Areas where new cases were foind include, Karu 2, Kokona 2, Lafia 2 , Obi 4 while Nasarawa recorded 1 case.

The deputy governor had established contact tracing centers in each of the three senatorial zones of that to fastrack ease tracing of those that had contact with coronavirus patients on those on isolation.

Dr. Akabe Said that henceforth returnees from high risk states would be qurantined at a facility to be identified by the local government council authorities in the state.

He assured hope was not lost giving the rising number of new cases, saying government was working round the clock to curtail further spread of the disease.
