NASS Postpones Resumption

By Emmanuel Iriogbe, Abuja

The National Assembly has postponed its return to plenary session slated for tomorrow, 25th September to October, 9.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Clark,Sank Omolri and made available to PenPushers .

According to the statement; “This is to inform all Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members that resumption of plenary session earlier scheduled for Tuesday, 25th September has been postponed to Tuesday 9th October due to the activities of the primaries of the political parties.

“All Distinguished Senators and Honourable members are expected to resume plenary session by 10 am on the 9th of October, please”

Pundits are divided on the latest action, while some are of the opinion that the move is meant to stave off the threat to remove Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu and Speaker Yakubu Dogara from office, others believe that the reason given for the postponement is cogent.
