May 26, 2023, just three days to the end of Nasir Elrufai’s tenure as governor of Kaduna State, he ordered the demolition of Gbagyi Villa, a beautiful estate with grand buildings, located in Southern Kaduna. There was already an order from the court restraining him from demolishing the estate. The landlords of the buildings thought their fear was over after getting the court order. But Elrufai pretended as if he had let go of the plan to destroy the estate. Three days to the end of his administration, he sent bulldozers to pull down the entire buildings.
First, he defied a court order. Secondly, he sent security forces to bully protesters. Some were killed and many injured. Up till this moment, many families are yet to recover from such tragic demolition of their houses. Some become mentally ill. Some became tenants again.
Elrufai’s wives never shed tears for the weeping families deprived of their shelters, never adviced their sadistic husband to even compensate the people! They are now grieving for a brutish husband. This is just the beginning because karma is a black mamba!
